The GSA High School & College Immersion Program
Designed for international students embarking for first time study in the United States. This 4-week foundational program provides students with an intensive crash course on key principles taught during Kindergarten through 8th grades within the American educational system
Following a schedule similar to the traditional rotating-block schedule found in most New England high schools, students take the following courses: English Grammar & Writing, U.S. History, and Vocabulary & Speaking (Humanities, Biology, & Mathematics). At the completion of this program, international students walk away with essential concepts taught to American students prior to 9th grade and preliminary exposure to the expectations of the American high school and its teachers.
The program is 1-on-1 and customized to each student, and student performance is determined by class participation, nightly homework, and comprehensive quizzes. Students who complete this program, which includes 48-hours of in-class study along with over 80-hours of homework (over 128 hours of study), will receive a Certificate of Completion. This certificate will be included with their transcripts and applications to American high schools, providing them with a higher level of respect with these institutions.
